Samantha is one lucky girl, as she's being sponsored by Teodorescu Irina!

I’m Samantha!  I’m a healthy 2 year old bicolor GSD and I weigh about 50 pounds.

Have you heard the news? Black is the new bark! There are so many benefits to having a black dog. For instance, the next time you have a special occasion, I’ll be ready with my sophisticated black coat; maybe add a princess crown and I’ll look even more enchanting.  Also, studies prove time and time again that black is a very slimming color. Stand next to me and instantly it’s as if the pounds melt away. I do have a bit of fashionable brown on my legs too which makes me a bi-color GSD.

More importantly, I’m a very sweet, friendly girl. I like people-big and small and anywhere in between. I’m polite when I go out and I pay close attention to my person. I want to know where she is at all times. Sometimes I need a little confidence boost but this will get better with time and as I get to experience more by being part of a family or become someone’s steady companion.

I am an affectionate girl and I love a good belly rub.

I like to go for car rides and I will wait politely for you in the car if you have to run an permitting of course.

I also really like toys and I love to play ball! I’ll definitely need my own toys so I don’t take yours.

With proper introductions I am good with other dogs. I’d love more practice with this so I can have more dog friends.

I have a high prey drive so cats probably are a no go. And small dogs also may be fun to chase.

I have very nice house manners.  I am eager to please so reminding me to use my good manners and teaching me new things will be rewarding for both of us.

I would benefit from some basic obedience training-but who wouldn’t? Haha. What fun it would be to do that together! And we GSDs love that sort of thing. Dog school sounds super fun. I’m off to a good start though. My friends at BAGSR taught me some obedience skills and my foster mom and dad are keeping up with them. I’ve also become pretty good on leash!  I love going out for walks and on trips to the pet store!

I’m looking forward to getting settled into my new forever home. I hope I sound like someone you’d like to meet. I’ll be waiting in San Jose.
