Bruce is an approximately 3 year old black and tan GSD, he is quite small weighing in at about 55 lbs. Bruce (named after Batman/Bruce Wayne because of his pointy black ears), was found as a stray in Sacramento. While the people that found him have been trying to find his original owner, Bruce has been living with a young man and his roommates. Bruce stays in a room alone for 3-4 hours at a time and has never damaged any property and appears to be housebroken.
Bruce is a typical GSD and bonds with his person quickly and passionately. he is VERY people friendly and super sweet. It’s our guess that Bruce wasn't socialized very much since he does have some mild dog reactiveness. Bruce walks pretty well on a leash and does have some basic obedience. He could use a obedience refresher, but it wouldn't take much to get this boy up to speed. He takes food nicely and is not mouthy.
We have been walking Bruce past cats and and so far, almost zero reaction, he just stares. This suggests he is very cat workable.
Bruce should be in a home with an experienced GSD or large working breed handler that can socialize him with other dogs and brush him up on his obedience skills. One thing for sure, this boy will bond with his new owner quickly and be a typical loyal GSD friend for life!
