Thank you, Bruce Hurst, for being so generous and sponsoring Koda - much appreciated - WOOF!

Koda is a young petite playful female German Shepherd mix, who is about 8 months old. When she was a baby puppy she was found wandering in a rural area and eventually was taken in by mom with 2 young children (4 and 8) and a cat and a female dog. Koda’s mom wants to find a new home for her, where the pup can have more attention and some room to play.

Koda was evaluated by a professional trainer during a group training class where Koda worked around other dogs. The trainer reports that it went very well. Koda started out shy but quickly warmed to her. She was friendly and open with all people, approached children appropriately and did not jump.

Koda is not house trained yet and stays in the yard when her family is away from home. She is crated at night and sleeps through the night without issue. She has started with basic training. She loves to run and play, does pretty well on leash, and knows come and sit. Her mom tells us that she is good with other dogs but will sometimes bark to engage in play. Koda loves to ride in cars and either sleeps or just lies down. She can be excitable when the family first comes home and will try to sit on the children’s laps but is otherwise good with the children.

Koda is in the North Bay
