Rosie is thrilled to have been sponsored by Susan Hsu - thank you Susan, you're the best! WOOF!

Rosie is a 2-year old loving, female GSD.  She is up to date on vaccinations, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Her general disposition is friendly and outgoing, and gentle with people.  During her evaluation, she met several adults and children and was appropriate and friendly with all of them. She passed other dogs without incident and showed only mild interest in them.

She has a lower energy level and should make a good starter German Shepherd.

Rosie epitomizes what rescue is about. She has not had a lot of attention or training in her young life but, she has a nice even temperament and should assimilate into most families rather easily. Truly, a diamond in the rough.

Rosie has been used to living outside in a dog run with another large dog.  She will need some time to understand housetraining and how cushy dog beds and toys work.

She is also experiencing some hearing difficulties (which may be partly the reason she is relatively "easy").  She will be treated for a latent ear infection and may recover full hearing. For now, she hears whistles and loud sounds just fine. However, she is on the quiet side and is not very vocal at this point.

An ideal home for Rosie would include: an loving family that can provide her with daily walks and make her a full part of their family.

Overall, Rosie is a well-socialized, gentle, and easy going dog who would make a nice addition to most homes where dogs are considered family memebers.

She is a Level 2 GSD, and could be a great candidate for a person new to the breed.

Rosie has been evaluated by us and is living with her owners in Hayward.
