Woo hoo! Kristy Jennings just sponsored Jett - BIG thanks, Kristy!

Jett is a love bug!  She loves to snuggle, cuddle, and hug.  But, her specialty is really wet kisses!  She wants nothing more than to be close for some fun play or a good petting session.  In other words, a great companion dog!

She came to us as a young stray with an unknown history.  We could tell she had very little socialization and no training.  But, she has lots of energy and a wonderfully positive attitude.  In the few weeks she's been with us, she's grown very comfortable and is doing a great job at fitting in with her foster family.  She likes being in her crate for down time and sleep, but also knows the Place command so she can hang out with everybody during the day.  She also likes going out for errands, especially when she gets to go shopping and see new people, places, and other dogs!

She absolutely loves her foster sister.  They play a lot, and Jett is also learning at the same time.  What she missed in early socialization, she is soaking up like a sponge in her interactions with us.  She has been observed with a cat, and showed no interest.  She has met kids of various ages, and is very gentle and accommodating.  Though, she's still very young and learning proper boundaries with both people and other dogs.  She's even had a little training.  In addition to her Crate and Place commands, she's learning Sit and Stay, and she's pretty good with Heel and loose leash walking.

Jett has a lot of energy.. Some of it is just youthful zest, some of it is probably leftover uncertainty from her days as a stray, but mostly Jett is just a lively dog.  She likes to plod alongside me while I'm on the bike or out for a jog.  She loves playing in the yard - chasing balls and/or other dogs with balls.  She's still getting used to her body, but she shows some potential for athletic prowess, so she may be good at agility, fly-ball, and/or dock diving.

But, all she really wants is to just be your best friend!
