We are courtesy posting Goldie, who is currently at Marin Humane is Novato

If you'd like to meet Goldie and learn more please phone (415) 883-4621

This lovely, long-legged supermodel, who was found lost in San Rafael, spent some time in a fabulous foster home recovering from a skin condition. Now she's more beautiful than ever and ready to find her forever home.

Young and exuberant, Goldie weighs 65 pounds and runs like an Olympian and leaps over things in her way during the chase. We don't know her genetic heritage for sure, but we see Shepherd and Sighthound. She is extremely active and would probably excel at a dog sport like agility or flyball. Her foster family reports that she needs a job. For sure, she is no couch potato! She gets bored easily, so she will need strenuous daily exercise (are you a runner?) and mental challenges (sign her up right away for training classes) to keep her body and mind satisfied.

Because she is boisterous and mouthy, her family should be sturdy folks over age fourteen. Although her tendency to use her mouth is not aggressive, it is not appropriate and she needs to learn an alternate behavior. She loves to play with dogs as well, but smaller dogs and cats should not have to be around her. She is into the chase!

Goldie bonds very quickly and may have some difficulty being left alone without her person. If you already have a dog, this may help her. Bring your dog in and our behavior staff will be happy to host a meet and greet between the two canines to see if the chemistry seems right.

If you enjoy a gorgeous looking dog with a long muzzle, elegantly sculpted body and luxurious tail, and one who engages with people happily, come meet Goldie. Take her for a walk, play ball in the fenced area, sit and gaze into her eyes...pretty hard to resist this "big, goofy girl".
