Jake is an adorable well adjusted, well rounded puppy. He is cute, sweet, intelligent, curious, confident and friendly. What more could you ask for in a puppy?
Jake is settling into his foster home well. He is a proximity dog that loves to stay close to his humans on walks and in the house. Great on leash and calm on car rides, he is easy going and takes direction well. It is fun to watch Jake with his older foster sisters as he tries to engage them in play, a game of chase or tug! While he is clearly an active playful pup with plenty of energy, he also knows when it is time to calm down and relax. Jake is most content when his pack is in eye sight.
Jake is super curious about the world around him. The furnace makes a funny noise, he walks over to it, stares at it, sniffs it, taps the cooler outside housing with his paw. A goat walks near the neighbors fence, Jake is the first to investigate, head held high and full of confidence! This is a puppy that communicates. He is outside and wants to come in, bark! He wants attention, will lay by your feet and stare at you. He wants a tummy rub, yep, he rolls over! He has all the potential to be a great canine citizen and never shy about telling you what he wants!
Overall, Jake is a wonderful puppy and has lots of puppy energy that is easily channeled. He will thrive in an environment with other dogs and/or an active, present owner who enjoys activities with him. He is quickly learning good puppy manners – sit before you get a treat, do not jump up on humans, and play nice with your older pack members. Being part alligator, Jake likes to use his mouth to explore the world and eats like there is no tomorrow, nothing a special dog bowl cannot correct. The potential of this puppy is endless, so many wonderful qualities in such a small exceptional package.
Jake is approximately 6 months old and being fostered in Sonoma
