We are SO lucky to have this puppy girl.  She is mentally very healthy; she's happy, outgoing, takes correction from the big dogs, runs with the big dogs, explores beyond her years... She was a stray in Oakland, so we have no history on her.  She is between 2.5 and 3 months old; we'll make her birthday April 26th, 2015.

Jolie, pronounced Yolie, is a Dutch Shepherd.  The Dutch always has a brindle coat - black with brown stripes or variations of the colors, but always brindle.  They are very similar to the GSD and Malinois, having many of the same characteristics;  the Dutchie is just a bit smaller than a GSD, height and weight wise. Their life span is about the same.

Just one day in our Rescue, we already know this pup is very smart.  She walked on a ledge, and when she couldn't turn around, she backed out.  She walked upon some very uneven and unsteady areas which she handled beautifully.  She had no problems making her decisions, and she thought things out 'correctly'.  Jolie is going to be 'smarter than the average bear'.  We will require her family have prior, successful puppy experience.  She will make an outstanding pet; she is really a great pup.

Jolie is in an east bay foster home.  She needs to be spayed and get a few more shots.  She will be ready for adoption in a few weeks.
