Cocoa came to us after her elderly owner died. She has lived with various other animals: cats, small dogs, chickens, birds and turtles. She lived a quiet indoor life, with other quiet animals. She was seen herding the chickens into their coop. :)
Once in foster, we introduced Cocoa to other GSDs and cats. We have learned that Cocoa is not used to large dogs, playful dogs and small playful dogs. She was initially frightened of dogs being dogs; however, with gentle introduction, she accepted all her foster siblings and she has done quite well. Ideally, Cocoa's new family would provide a quiet life for her and would be home much of the time and/or take her with them. She's a joy in the house, in the car and all around. She's said to be good off-leash and with all people.
Cocoa is a level 1 dog in the east bay.
