Moni is very proud to tell you about her new sponsorship by Paul Meyer

Moni just told us that she is happy to be sponsored by Laura Stewart

Moni is a light black and tan American Shepherd who is about 3 years old.  She's a nice size at about 65 pounds.

She is a very affectionate, gentle dog. She is crate trained and house trained, is quiet in the yard, and is friendly to everyone she meets. She can sleep crated or free. She rides well in a vehicle and does not get car sick.

Since coming to rescue she has lived with several other foster dogs, and has does well with them. Initially we observed that Moni would resource guard her person (from other dogs), but that has improved greatly as she settled in. She is currently living with an easy-going male GSD who has taught her to play chase. They are left alone together all day when their foster mom is at work and have access to most of the house and yard. Moni likes to move shoes around but is otherwise trustworthy in the house.

Moni met test kitty. Test kitty was fine with Moni's tiny nibbles; we believe Moni will be ok with quiet indoor cats, but extra work will be necessary to make sure resident kitties remain safe.

Moni has good food and toy drive. She loves playing with balls. She is working on basic obedience and has a good start with sit and down commands. She is very easy to walk on leash. Moni has done well on group dog walks and meets other dogs well.

She's a very nice dog and will make a nice companion. Because she has manners, and is quiet, we believe she'd be ok in a home where she is alone some of the time. It is possible that Moni can live with a dog who is not competitive for toys or attention.

She's a level 2 dog being fostered on the Peninsula.
