Elf is as pleased as a pixie to be sponsored by her new friend Brooke Berry!
Elves are supposed to be fun, right? Little Elf is a crack-up. She's a goof. She's so much fun to watch.
Elfie just turned 1 yea old, with a strong body, broken ears and a cork-screw tail. She's quite friendly with people, and she really enjoys playing with other dogs. We are saying she's just too rough and tumble to be safe with kitties.
Elfie needs training and she needs someone who is experienced with juvenile puppy behavior. She's mouthy and was not corrected, so that is one thing we'll be working on immediately!
She is in the east bay being fostered.
Steph, her foster mom writes - "I have had Elf now for a week. She is a rough and tumble playmate with all our dogs. She loves to play in her water bowl (a garden fountain) and bite at the hose while I am watering the garden. We took her to the lake recently where she joyfully romped and played in the water. She walks well on a leash and knows a few obedience commands. She waits patiently for her food and never bothers our other dogs while eating. She is still a chewing puppy and loves rope toys and the kongs - Shoes must be kept out of reach. When I took her to the meet and greet yesterday, she stayed quietly by my side but was eager and polite when anyone came up to greet her. Definitely a stranger friendly girl."
