STELLA!! Yep…that’s me. I’m a 2 year old sable girl GSD maybe mixed with husky. I’m medium sized at about 70 pounds. I was brought into the shelter with my 2 amigas and we were pretty scared. I am so happy that my friends with BAGSR got me safely into a loving foster home. Oh man….do I love indoor living! My new friends are pretty sure that I used to live only outside but I’ve adjusted to indoor living with flying colors.
I am a sweet, friendly, girl. I am fine with other dogs and would probably enjoy a pal around dog but may be intimidated by over active crazies and I can be a little leery of larger dogs that I don't know. I paid no attention to all of the cats at the shelter and don’t seem to notice the chickens that I can see through the fence at my foster home. I would be fine as an only dog. I love my people!
I think leash walks are terrific. Even though I don’t know any obedience skills except those my foster family has started to teach me, I am very well-mannered on leash with the occasional youthful goofiness. I'm a spunky girl and love to get out and about. I’m getting used to going in the car too and use very good manners when we go for a ride. Something you should know about me is that I will need training. I'm quite treat motivated though so we should have lots of fun learning new things.
I used to be intimidated by men but since my foster dad is so nice and has introduced me to more of his kind, I may be over this fear. I greet men, women, and children politely. I was also super at the dog doctor. In fact he said that I was a model patient and he wishes he could see more patients like me.
Since my history is unknown and I was fearful in the shelter, a home with no kids would be best for me. I also can be mouthy at times.
I will do best with an experienced adopter who can help me continue to blossom.
I’ll be waiting with my foster family in El Dorado Hills. Hope to meet you!
