My name is Zeus. I’m a two year old sable GSD. I’m an adorable, polite boy and weigh about 70 pounds.

I can be hesitant meeting new people but that’s likely due to my under exposure thus far. I am friendly and sweet though and seem to warm up a bit more quickly with female humans. I’ll need an adopter who will be patient with me, slowly expose me to new things and show me the world at my own pace.

Before I met my new friends with BAGSR, I lived outside with my canine brother and dad. I have to say it’s so much better indoors. I picked right up on indoor living and already have very nice house manners and use the dog door to go out for potty.  I am fine if left alone in the house. I’ll just relax and wait until my people come home.

I like to keep an eye on my foster mom. I position myself where I can see her while she’s working in her office. I will bond tightly with my new human(s) and will be loyal to the core. I probably would be fine as an only dog but I may enjoy a pal around dog sibling too. I don’t really play with my foster dog siblings yet. I'll probably never be a pushy player with other dogs and won’t enjoy an over the top, high energy player.

I’m learning about toys and have a few favorites that I like to toss around. So much is new to me!

My foster mom is teaching me about leash walks. I am quite a sniffer and get easily distracted smelling things along the way. I’m also learning basic commands and will need someone who is committed to teach me the things all the lucky dogs get to know and it’s important that my new humans understand us GSDs. I would enjoy dog school and group training would help expose me to other humans and new dogs.

I was raised around children and am gentle with them.  Any kids in my new family would have to be those that are calm and respectful and that don’t create chaos.

I kind of steer clear of chaos and like to go back in the house when my foster dog siblings start playing crazy.

I like to go in the car and I ride politely.

My foster mom wants me to find just the right adopter! If you would like to help me blossom and want a super companion, I just may be your boy.

I’ll be waiting in Granite Bay.
