Hi! I'm Thea. I'm a two and a half year old girl GSD. I have a beautiful soft long coat and I'm tall like a model and a fit 85 pounds. My coat will need good care - like lots of brushing to keep it silky and mat-free. I really enjoy being brushed!
I am looking for a family who can spend time with me doing the fun things that we youngsters so enjoy. I'll need an active family as I need regular physical and mental exercise to keep me healthy. I would love to continue my training as I'm super smart but I really need you to be a leader and make sure I do everything right. If you don't tell me I will try to figure it out myself and I don't always get it right. I love long walks, hikes, road trips and time at the beach. I really enjoy water! Exercise and the outdoors are really fun for me. I'm also treat motivated and take treats gently. When I'm really excited, I can be a little too mouthy and will need to be reminded to keep it soft. I just can't help myself sometimes but I'm working on it.
Did I mention I love car rides. Oh boy, I love getting in the car and going places and I am a good backseat rider. I'll be a super fun companion for an active adopter who has lots of time to spend with me. I get lots of attention when out and about and typically meet strangers well, although I can be cautious at times. I'm good with other dogs but can be a hard player so monitoring is needed. I can also be a little leash reactive (not aggressive just excited) but correct pretty easily. With more training and socializing, this should not be an issue. I can pull hard with just my collar however I remember my manners when I have my front clip harness on. I will bond pretty hard with my people and will need to feel safe and secure before you leave me alone for too long. I can go in a crate for short periods of time if needed but would prefer you teach me that it's ok to be home alone. Oh, before I forget, I don't like cats!! Nope, not at all, no way.
I'll be waiting in Windsor for my perfect match.
