Jolie, Jolie, Jolie, Jolieeeeee - you have another admirer that thinks you are the sweetest girl.  If Jo were a kisser she would give a great big one to Kris Wittman for being her repeat sponsor!

Jolie was so happy to hear she has her very first sponsor her ears almost stood up straight. Thanks Layne Friedrich for the Jo love.

PLEASE READ FIRST: Jolie MUST have another playful confident dog in the home. She takes comfort in watching and playing with dogs. She is a very shy girl with some stranger and environmental fears. She will not immediately engage with her new person but when she does she is playful, silly, affectionate and sweet. We must emphasize that Jo needs a special home that understands her unique challenges and is willing to give her whatever time is needed. We have promised Jo that her next home will be her final transition so please only apply if you are sure this is something you can offer her.

Jolie is a sweet, shy 2 year old GSD mix. She has the most adorably ears!!

Jo is a playful girl that LOVES other dogs and loves to play. She will adjust her play style appropriately with large and small dogs.  She is house trained and non-destructive. She has met cats with no real interest so she may be cat workable.  She loves to go for car rides and see the world from a safe distance. Jolie is a young girl and will greatly benefit from rigorous daily exercise that will help ease any anxiety so she can learn new skills and embrace her new home/environment.

Jo wants you to know she is shy and can get overwhelmed when asked to meet new people. She will need time to adjust to both a new family and a new environment but once she does, you will see her true personality. She is goofy and playful and will keep you laughing. She will sit patiently with you while you tell her about your busy day. She will be a wonderful companion to other confident, playful dogs in the family. She will lay on her bed and watch TV with you. She loves going to places that are relatively free of stressors like strangers wanting to pet her and fast moving things like kids on scooters. She loves going to the beach and chasing waves (check out her beach picture). She loves being in her "home" environment and is calm in the house hanging with her trusted friends. I guess you could say Jo knows how to "socially distance".

Jo's ideal home would be in a quiet country/rural setting where she has room to play without the challenges of an urban environment. Jo would do ok on a larger property once she learns the boundaries and establishes her safety zone. Given too much room too soon could overwhelm her at first and she may bolt. Once Jo trusts you, she will want to be with you and will need to learn it's ok to be left by her humans. A secure crate or kennel will keep her safe until her people return. She can jump a 5' fence if she becomes frightened. She does LOVE to go for rides in the car and would love to venture out with you for some sightseeing.

We are adamant that Jo's next home will be her final home. If you think you can offer this sweet girl a loving, gentle, calm environment with lots of love and patience; another happy, confident doggy playmate (or two); walks on the beach and quiet trails; drives in the country exploring new roads; a safe and secure home where she can slowly unfold and broaden her world then Jo would love to meet you. She promises to give you her whole heart if you can just give her the time.

Potential adopters will have access to the trainer/canine behavior specialist who has been working with her for support.

She is waiting with all of her dog friends in Windsor.
