My name is Fiona! I am a black and tan girl German Shepherd Dog and weigh about 70 pounds. I'm probably about 7 years young but no one knows for sure. By the way I like to play with balls, I seem much, much younger. I really enjoy playing with balls!
I love treats and take them gently. I am sweet and friendly but can be aloof when I first meet new friends. Once I get to know you, we'll be good friends. I'm not a Velcro dog in that I sometimes keep to myself. Don't get me wrong; I truly enjoy the company of my people. I also do well with other dogs. I can be selective about my dog friends though so patient introductions are important. I haven't really been around cats but do like to chase squirrels.
Because I can get amped up when playing ball, it may be best if I live in a family with older children. I will make a wonderful walking partner; in fact, you can visit the shelter and take me for a walk!
I am create trained and know several basic commands: sit, stay, look, touch, and leave it. There's so much more to learn and cant' wait to get settled in with my new family so they can teach me more.
I've been waiting patiently at the shelter for my perfect new companion. I hope you'd like to meet me!
