Hi! I’m Hera. I’m a healthy 60 pound girl GSD maybe mixed with a Nordic breed. I’m still a youngster and am about 19 months old. My new pals at BAGSR have offered to help find me a new home and I’m looking for a family who will include me in activities, spend time with me and teach me things.
I’m a spunky girl and I haven’t had any training yet; I’ll benefit from someone who is familiar with us working breeds and who will take me to dog school which I’m sure I will love! It would be great to learn how to walk politely on leash so I can enjoy outings with my new family. I still jump when I get excited but love treats and take them gently, so I would be happy to use treats with my training sessions!
I get amped up when I’m around excited energy and would really benefit from an active family - people to keep me busy and provide me with appropriate exercise and training.
I am excited when I see new dogs but would likely do fine with other dogs with proper introductions. I have spent time with a small dog and did fine with him after I settled down. Cats though - those things look like they would be super fun to chase!
I love balls and toys and those stuffy ones are for tearing up right? Peanut butter Kongs are my favorite.
Because I am still mouthy and jump up, a household with small kids may not be the best for me right now.
In true GSD fashion, I will alarm bark when someone comes to the door.
I haven’t perfected my house manners and will take things that don’t belong to me if left alone for too long. A family who will fairly teach me boundaries and manners would be perfect form me.
I’m sure to grow into a lovely companion dog with proper leadership and attention.
This is a courtesy post and I’ll be waiting with my foster family in Rocklin. I hope to meet you!
