Hi! I’m King Caesar. I’m a 7 year old GSD. I weigh about 80 pounds - my new friends at BAGSR say that I am a big, heavy boned, handsome boy.
I am a friendly boy with good obedience skills and very nice house manners. I will be devoted to my new family and in typical GSD form, will become quite attached. I walk nicely on leash and love to go out and about. I am good in the car too. I do have a weird quirk- I do not like windshield wipers so best to put my in the back seat if it's raining.
I’m fine if left alone but I would really love to have a family who wants to spend lots of time with me. I am alert and curious and my poised dignified temperament makes me a wonderful companion dog. We can go lots of places together and enjoy ourselves. Hanging out together at home will also be great. I can go downtown with you or hang out at a coffee shop.
I like other dogs just fine and even the little yappers don’t bother me even when they charge me - haha. I am a great dog park dog.
I don’t choose cats as friends though…I like to chase them.
I will alarm bark to let you know I hear something unusual and I will keep a close eye on my people for sure. I like kids and will make a best friend for someone or for a whole family! Something you should know about me is that in true GSD form I can be pushy. Once my training collar comes off and we are hanging out inside I will need you to be the leader. If I jump on the bed or try to make you play when you just want to watch TV you may need to use a firm voice so i know you mean business.
I am a big strong boy with many good years ahead and please don't overlook me because of a few special needs. I have an eye condition called Pannus that affects my peripheral vision and requires medication, and my hips may have some arthritis but I can run and play just fine and I always know where MY people are.
I hope you’d like to meet me.
This is a courtesy posting and I’ll be waiting in Berkeley.
