I’m Sigmund! That’s kind of a formal name so my friends call me “Siggy”. I’m a 71 pound boy GSD and I’m about 14 months old. I had some skin issues when my rescuers pulled me out of the shelter but I’m healing nicely and only have a couple of small spots left to heal.
I really love my people and am happiest when I am with them. I don’t much like it when they’re gone so it would be great if I can live with someone who is mostly home or can take me along. I’ve been through a lot lately so I may get better about staying by myself; but for now it would be best for me to have plenty of human company.
I like other dogs and enjoy playing with them. I have foster dog siblings including a small dog and I am respectful with him. I also live with 2 cats. I’ll bark at them occasionally but I don’t try to enter their area which is just separated by a baby gate. It’s quite possible that I can learn to live peacefully with cats.
I still jump up a bit and am a little mouthy like lots of us GSD youngsters. But I take corrections easily and am eager to please. My foster mom is working with me to give me a solid foundation with my obedience and I already have nice house manners. Oh …and I walk nicely on leash with the proper equipment.
I am looking forward to settling in at my forever home and continuing to learn how to be the best I can be.
I’m staying with my foster family in Santa Rosa. My new friends at BAGSR are working with me and my bio will be updated as they learn more about me.
