Hi! I’m Elbie. I was lucky enough to be rescued by some good Samaritans who are looking after me until I find my very own forever family. I’m still a pup at about 8-9 months old and I weigh 65 pounds. I am healthy and have a pretty black and light tan coat.

I’m doing great with my training and am an enthusiastic learner. I enjoy my training sessions and have mastered several important tasks! I’m also treat motivated and in true GSD fashion am a quick learner. Of course I’ll need appropriate exercise, mental stimulation and continued training. I can still be a bit of a goof-off and may push the boundries if you you let me; I'll do best with a fair, firm handler. I can be a bit mouthy and like to grab sleeves and pant legs. I may be a bit much for small kids so for now I should live with older respectful children. 

I do well on leash. I am friendly and polite and am terrific going out and about. I use good manners when visiting stores too. I’ll make a fantastic walking buddy and wonderful companion. I can be prone to car sickness but hopefully will grow out of that.

I meet other dogs appropriately but no cats for me please!

I’m still getting used to being inside the house although I am making good progress. 

Something you should know about me is that I pay close attention to my foster humans and am sure to bond closely with my new people. My foster family say that I’m a soft, sweet, engaging pup and my new friends with BAGSR say that someone will be lucky to have me! I will make the perfect family dog!
