Hi! I’m Vinny. I’m about 14 months old and weigh a fit 75 pounds. My new friends with BAGSR think that I’m a GSD/Belgian Malinois cross.

I’m a friendly, active boy looking for a new place to call home. Good Samaritans found me running free on Vineyard Road - hence the name. Clever right?? Try as they might to find where I lived, no one came for me so they vowed to find me a perfect home.

I’m goofy and sweet and would love an active lifestyle. I still have lots to learn including my basics like sit, down, stay, come, and whatever else you think might be important for me to know. I’m up for learning the fun stuff too! My foster mom says I’m a super student and want to please - I’m quick to pick up on things. It may not seem like I know a lot but my foster family has gotten me used to indoor living, walking on leash, practicing good house manners and they have provided me with a terrific foundation for me to become a fabulous companion.

Breeds like me love to “work” which really means in my case that I want things to do so I don’t get bored. Not to mention that I am a big youngster with so many things still to practice.

I especially love women and am very attached to my foster mom. I am sure to form a strong bond with my adopter as well.

I am a bit mouthy and do this silly snappy thing with my mouth when I’m having fun, am excited or looking for attention. Until I understand that this is not the best habit, I should probably not live with young children. I’m also pretty big and am still clumsy. I do currently live with small kids though and I am great with them.

I like tug toys and love to have things to chew on. It’s really important that I have lots of my own things to chew.

I will alarm bark to let you know when someone comes to the house.

The jury is still out on cats. I don’t have much interest in squirrels so it’s possible that I could get along with cats…they kind of look the same.

When I see fast cars, motorcycles or bikes, I’m inclined to want to bark at them and chase but my foster mom has been working with me on this and otherwise I’m really pretty good on leash.

I really enjoy my GSD foster sibling and she seems to have a calming effect on me too. I do like to play with other dogs; a dog sibling of similar size and energy would be lots of fun.

I am great in the car and will happily go along with you wherever you go.

Well, I really hope to meet you!

This is a courtesy post and I’ll be waiting in Roseville.
