Sophie thanks Betty Ogan for sponsoring her - much appreciated, Betty - WOOF!

Sophie is a beautiful 6 months old spayed female, about 50 lbs with petite features.

Sophie was purchased as a wee pup and has rarely left her yard since. She is very sweet and craving attention and direction. She got her attention in her home by jumping on people. After just a few days with her foster, she is much better. We don’t think Sophie has met many other dogs as she’s not quite sure just how to be a dog. She is starting to engage with other dogs however rowdy/rough players are still too overwhelming for her.

She is very people friendly, dog friendly and possibly cat workable. She met her foster's cat and was really good but that may change as she gets more relaxed. She is doing fine in a crate at night. She takes treats very gently but is not treat or toy motivate yet. She is more attention motivated. She has been pretty active and a little nervous but considering her recent changes, we are not at all surprised. She does not bark in her kennel and we have only heard her bark a few times.

She really seeks attention and even while playing will look at her people, put her cute ears back and wag her tail. She does come when called! Due to her age and energy level, she would do well with an active family that will take the time to introduce her to the big new world and won’t indulge her silly puppy behavior. Older children (12+) would be best as she is a little puppy mouthy - not bad and we’re working on it, but a bit much for little ones.

Sophie is learning very quickly and wants to please. She’s getting better every day and we think she will be a great young dog!!!
