Hi JJ. It's been 4 weeks since we got Shakey, who is now Wilson.  I thought I should write you and say thanks. Wilson is a perfect dog, way better than we ever thought.  He is not the least bit dominant and ignores the others if they are.  It's all going great, but he can be demanding, even after getting him his own pillow he refuses to quit using mine when we are sleeping. Thanks again for letting us have one of the best dogs ever. Al

Shakey was adopted in late October 2013. He now lives in Oregon!

Are you looking for a fun boy?  Happy all the time?  Not serious about anything?  He's about one year old and lots of fun!

Shakey is very friendly with people.  He would rather be sitting on your lap, or even strangers' laps.  He got his name at the shelter because he would give people his paw as they walked by... awwwwww....

Shakey is living with several other foster dogs.  He is good with female dogs, and he is good with males that aren't too pushy.  It appears he didn't have much socialization, so he needs human help when meeting some new dogs.  At the end of the leash, and with a good leader, he will do well.  Until he gets more daily doggie socialization, he isn't a dog park dog yet.

Shakey is house trained and crate trained. He likes the car and is quiet in the yard. Don't think we've ever heard him bark. When with other dogs in the yard, he is playing much of the time.

Shakey does need obedience and manners training; as with most GSDs, he will need a good leader to guide him into appropriate behavior until he is well trained. If you're looking for a mild challenge, Shakey might be your man.

Test Kitty said that Shakey is not good with cats.  Period.

Due to Shakey's age and lack of training, he is a level 3 guy.
