Is this the most amazing adoption photo ever?

OH boy, this guy is a cutie.  He's a slight mix of Border Collie?  Or Ausssie?  Not sure, but when he gets in the stalking stance, he is a sight to behold.

Herk-a-leez, a spoof on Hercules, is a spoof of a GSD.  But boy is he a nice pup.  He's extremely social and happy.  He's house trained but being young he has to go outside every hour or so; and he is great in his crate.

This little tyke is about 3 months old.  He was found as a stray and limping on his right rear leg.  We took him to Bishop Ranch Veterinary to diagnose the problem...  X-Rays showed a small broken bone that the ACL attaches to.  Dr. Gilman consulted a specialist, and the specialist says the injury will most likely "work itself out".  The specialist does not recommend surgery.  It's very uncommon for a young pup to have this injury, but it is seen in adult dogs.  There is a possibility that Herk will need surgery later in life, but the specialist believes the leg will be ok, and it's certainly ok now.

The injury doesn't slow Herk down.  He LOVES to play with other dogs, roughing and tumbling with the best of them.  However, he may have to take it easy at times, and he may need to take Carprofen on occasion for pain and inflammation.

Herk-a-leez is worth taking a chance on.  He's just a cutie pie.  He's a level 4 dog, being a pup, and he's in the east  bay.
