Kate is happy to be sponsored by Fully Open.  She sends wags and licks.

Kate is a lovely, middle aged girl of about 4 years.  She has very nice manners, she is very friendly and affectionate, and she's a good companion.  She has energy to spare for long daily walks, short runs, hikes or dog parks.  She will require a family who will not be gone all day; she tends to get in trouble when she has nothing to do. *wink*

Kate is a very good dog dog.   She is also very good with kitties, sniffing them and then ignoring the.  She will be a great ambassador for the GSD breed.    Kate is potty trained and trustworthy in the house unless she doesn't get the necessary exercise.   You've heard the saying, "A tired dog is a good dog"?  This certainly applies to Kate.

Kate has learned to play with the hose water.  Watching her play-bow to it was uber funny, but finally she slapped her foot on the water, and then she began eating it.  We think she'll be a mean machine with that hose.

When Kate first joined us, she was in horrible condition with internal and external infections throughout her body.  After months of love and care, very careful nutrition and trial and error, Kate is finally healthy.  She sports a beautiful, thick coat, and you can tell she feels great.

We have learned that Kate has pollen allergies and food allergies.  For her own health, Kate's furever home should be in a low pollen area.  We're thinking colder climates will be best.  She will need to be 'monitored' for skin issues, but if her people keep a good watch on her, she should do well.

Kate is in the east bay, a level 2 dog.  She does need training, but she's a very good, stable dog.
