Zeus is three years old, 80 pound black and tan male.  His owners reached out to us to help Zeus find another home so he could have all the he deserves.

Zeus has been part of his family of adults, very young children and everything in between.  He lived with Matilda, also on our site, for the last 3 years.  While Zeus was bonded to Matilda, he separated nicely from her and immediately became part of the pack in his foster home.  He is good with other dogs as a hang out kind-of-guy.  We will determine if he really wants another doggie sibling or if he can be a lone, resident dog in a new family.

Zeus is trustworthy in the house, sleeping free at night and having full-house privileges during the day.  When alone for multiple hours, he is outdoors.  In his former home, he was under voice control in front of him home.  If, however, he sees a squirrel or cat, he wants to run after it.  We are saying he is not good with cats.

Zeus is a friendly, happy, not-too-serious kind of GSD. He is not the typical watch-dog that some people expect in a GSD.  He will make a nice, comfortable, calm companion in his new home.

Zeus is on phenobarbital twice daily to control seizures.  Over the past 2.5 years, he has had 3 seizures, and only because he didn't get his medication.  If you are interested in Zeus, you must be willing and able to provide his medication approximately 12 hours apart every day.  In turn, Zeus should like a happy, seizure-free life.  His medication is nominal at about $15 a month.

Zeus in in the East Bay waiting to meet his furever family.
